Cunningham Award Ceremony Nov 12 2007On November 12th, 2007 Cunningham Fire Protection District presented two Certification of Recognition awards.  Adin Delkic is 7 years old and a hero according to Lt. David Mueller,  Adin was home when his mother had a medical condition that resulted in her loosing consciousness.  When she fell she landed on a 2 year old brother of Adin.  Adin learned in his kindergarten class about calling 9-1-1 and put that knowledge into action.  When Adin spoke to Douglas County Dispatch, Senior Dispatcher Shawn O'Mara put his training to work.  Cunningham Fire units were quickly dispatched to the home and rescued Adin's mother.  For the quick action of Adin in calling 9-1-1 and staying calm he was rewarded with a 9-1-1 for Kids Hero medal, a certificate from the fire department, a personal tour of the station & fire equipment along with a party.  Dispatch Supervisor O'Mara also was given a certificate from the fire department, a letter of recognition from his agency and he also got cake.
