New Look 

South Metro Fire Rescue and the Parker Fire Protection District are now operating jointly. On Sept. 8th, 2008, the Parker South Metro Fire Rescue Authority Board of Directors decided to change the name to South Metro Fire Rescue Authority.  This change is significant and there will be more changes to come in the months ahead that we hope will reflect our dedication to providing excellent service in an efficient manner. More information will be posted on the fire authority page. South Metro Fire Rescue and the Parker Fire Protection District are both accredited fire agencies as recognized by the Commission on Fire Accreditation International.

EMT Class Offered 

The South Metro Fire Rescue Authority, in cooperation wtih Littleton-Porter-Parker Adventist Hospitals, will be offerering a fire-base emergency medical technician (EMT) class in January. Follow this link (to Parkerfire.org) for registration information.

New Newsletter

If you live in our service area, you should have received a new publication in the mail recently. The Fireline is our quarterly newsletter and it will let you know news of interest about your fire department. If you did not recieve it, you can look at this pdf copy.

Station 36 to Stay Put

Castle Pines North won’t be getting a new fire station. 

The directors of South Metro Fire Rescue decided Nov. 13 to table further discussion of moving Station 36 to a site at Monarch Boulevard and Castle Pines Parkway, under consideration since spring of this year.  The station will stay in its current location, just west of I-25 on Castle Pines Parkway. As requested by our board of directors, the fire authority has prepared a report on emergency services in the areas served by station 36 (now on Castle Pines Parkway at Debbie Lane). You can view or download the report (pdf document). We have also completed a supplemental report to address issues raised since the first report was completed.

Board Meetings

The location for the meetings of the fire authority board will rotate between Parker and South Metro administration buildings. The next regularly scheduled fire authority board meeting will be December 11th at South Metro's administration building in Centennial. The last meeting was November 10th (agenda). Map to 10235 Parkglenn Way in Parker. | Map to 9195 E. Mineral Avenue in Centennial.

The South Metro Fire Rescue Board of Directors and the Parker Fire District Board of Directors will both meet December 11th at the Mineral Avenue building, starting at 7 p.m.
